The seven points of the funnel checklist are:
Each point plays a significant roll in guiding your prospect down the path to becoming your client.
ONE = GET TRAFFIC
Some marketers call this awareness or some other jargony word. However, all you really want to do here is to generate enough interest in your target market to get them to take action.
The main goal is to get prospects to click to get an offer that is so valuable and useful to them so that they go to your landing page.
TWO = LEAD MAGNET
A Lead Magnet is something your target audience would find valuable and useful. The most effective lead magnets give a quick and easy solution that delivers tangible results. For example, you could use a tool like Riskalyze to give a Free Portfolio Risk Analysis.

Question: How much should you give away for free?

THREE = LANDING PAGE
A Landing Page is simply a web page like any other, but with one singular focused offer. Just one! Whereas on any other page of your website, a visitor has a variety of options and buttons they can click. On a landing page, there is only one, which is to get the lead magnet in exchange for their contact information.
I had this one client that used the home page on their website as their landing page for all pay-per-click ads. They had a beautiful website but ended up spending thousands of dollars that resulted in just a few leads and zero new clients.
We worked with them to create a landing page with a single focused offer, a free Retirement Plan Strategy for Physicians. As a result of using the new landing page, they ended up getting 30 qualified leads over a 20-day campaign. Of those 30 qualified leads, 10 ended up becoming clients of their firm!
FOUR = LEAD CAPTURE FORM
A Lead Capture Form is simply the form used to capture prospects information, like their name and email, in exchange for the offered lead magnet. Once you have their email, you can immediately deliver their useful lead magnet to them.
Your lead capture form will integrate with your Email Service Provider, like MailChimp, or Marketing Automation Software. We use Drip. It’s the most sophisticated automation software that does NOT cross into the realm of being too complicated. FIVE = THANK YOU PAGE
A Thank You Page is one of the most underutilized parts of the funnel journey. The primary purpose is to thank your prospect and welcoming them to your business. But Thank You Pages can also take the form of a Sales Page by offering a quick upsell or additional offer to increase engagement with you.
For example, say someone opted in for your free lead magnet “Retirement Planning Checklist: 5 Simple Tips to Help Create Confidence and Comfort in Retirement.” You could add an additional offer to set a one-on-one consultation with you.
Better yet, provide another opportunity to engage with your prospect and further the relationship. A Financial Advisor could further the relationship by offering a “What Kind of Investor Are You” quiz. (We use an amazing, easy-to-use tool called Typeform to create quizzes, surveys, qualification questionnaires, etc.) Also, this quiz could double as a qualification questionnaire.

SIX = EMAIL MARKETING AUTOMATION
A Financial Advisor Funnel wouldn’t be complete without automation! Email Marketing Automation is all about sending the right message, at the right time, to the right person. It’s not some robotic auto-responder that has no personalization. Quite the opposite. A solid marketing automation workflow can triple or even 10x your new client acquisition from email.

Quick Tip: Drip starts at $49/month. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, try MailChimp. When you start using all of MailChimp’s features and your list gets bigger, MailChimp actually gets more expensive than Drip. But it’s a great option for beginners.
SEVEN = SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION PAGE
A Schedule a Consultation Page is exactly what it sounds like. It is where your prospects go to enter their contact information to set up a one-on-one consultation with you.
Quick Tip: Notice in the example above how the prospect is reminded of the primary features that they are getting as well as the security seals. It’s important to reduce risk and make working with you an absolute no-brainer.
